  • CPA to dredge Karnaphuli River lightering jetties

    The Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) will undertake a Tk 2.42 billion ($29.1 million) capital dredging project to dredge the Karnaphuli River, which will enable four lightering jetties to start functioning – something that will help reduce congestion at the country’s prime seaport.

  • Boskalis joint venture awarded Martín García...

    Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has been awarded a 5-year contract by the Comision Administradora del Rio de la Plata (CARP), for the capital and maintenance dredging of the Martín García channel, located between Uruguay and Argentina in the northern part of the 50-kilometer-wide Rio de la Plata estuary. The contract carries a total value for the 50/50 joint venture with DEME of approximately EUR 110 million and signing is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

EPA Settles with Northeast Dredging

Northeast Dredging Equipment Company, LLC has completed the installation of two cleaner diesel engines on a floating crane as part of a legal settlement for alleged violations of the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act, EPA said in its latest release.
