Lands, sea ports to be reopened as of March end in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Press Agency quoted the country’s government as announcing on Friday that travel restrictions will be lifted as of March, 21.

The decision also includes the reopening of all lands and sea ports, the Interior Ministry stated.

The postponement of the restrictions lifting was planned to take effect this month due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the spread of the new strain of the virus in some nations.

The ministry further included that the move will stay active until the end of March, so as to get the mandatory quantities of COVID-19 vaccines to cover the whole nation.

The opening-up measures were the result of the decrease of daily cases to lower than 200 infections.
