The United Arab Emirates has reviewed a plan to develop an LNG terminal in the western Indian state of Gujarat in coordination with Swan Energy, according to official Emirates News Agency (WAM).
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nayan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited as Chief Guest to India's 68th Republic Day Celebration at New Delhi on 26th January 2017, has inaugurated commencement of development works of India's First FSRU based LNG Import Port at Jafrabad, Gujarat, which is being implemented by the National Marine Dredging Company, Abu Dhabi.
The Maharashtra government has taken a decision to revive the development of all-weather port at Wadhwan in Thane district. The state-run Maharashtra Maritime Board and JNPT will form a joint venture to develop the port.
The projects were conducted in coordination with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources; Somerset County; Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development; U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; Smith Island United, and other partners.
