    The German manufacturer of carbon built performance yachts, SAY Carbon Yachts has officially launched their first Middle East outpost in the UAE, with the unveiling of the SAY 42, the ultimate status symbol in luxury yachting to hit the Dubai waters. Made entirely from carbon fibre, the lightweight model is a powerhouse of performance that combines acceleration, design and agility, while lowering fuel consumption and emissions. The SAY 42 was unveiled during a small intimate ceremony for the UAE’s elite yachting community, held at Noépe, Park Hyatt, and hosted by Dealership Owner of SAY Carbon Yachts Middle East; Sascha Falk.

    MSC Cruises took delivery of its largest cruise ship and started construction on a sister ship at Chantiers de l’Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. At 215,863 gross tons, the cruise ships hold a range of new titles including becoming the largest cruise ships following Royal Caribbean International’s current Oasis class and the future Icon class, as well as MSC’s first LNG-fueled cruise ship and the first large cruise ship fitted with fuel cell technology.

At 250,800 gross tons, the new cruise ship will be more than five percent larger in volume than the line’s Oasis class, making her the largest cruise ship in the world.

    The first luxury yacht cruise ship of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, the Evrima, embarked on her maiden voyage on October 15, three and a half years behind schedule. The latest entrant into the ultra-luxury segment of the cruise industry was first announced in June 2017 but experienced problems at the shipyard and later COVID-19-related delays and supply chain problems. The new cruise line rescheduled her launch eight times between the originally planned February 2020 and October 2022.

China starts constructing first hydrogen-powered electric ferry in Jiangxi Province

China officially started construction of its first hydrogen-powered electric ferry in Jiujiang Huxin New Energy Boat Science and Technology Park, Jiujiang City in Jiangxi Province.

The ship is being built by Jiujiang Huxin Technology Industry Development Co., Ltd. The vessel was ordered and will be operated by Jiangxi Lushan West Sea National Tourism Development Co., Ltd.
